Quoddy × Union Overall Boot

Developed over the course of a year in partnership with Quoddy, this collaboration brings together Quoddy's renowned handsewn moccasin construction with Union Overall's approach to studying and reinterpreting enduring design.

Drawing inspiration from both the Quoddy Chukka and Grizzly Boot, the design combines elements of each into a distinct new silhouette. A leather midsole, Vibram outsole, and reinforced X-plug toe stitching provide added durability and support while preserving the comfort, flexibility, and fit that have defined Quoddy footwear for generations.

Each pair is handcrafted in Lewiston, Maine using Horween black-over-brown leather, solid brass eyelets, and Quoddy's signature handsewn moccasin construction. As the leather wears, the rich brown tones beneath the surface gradually emerge, creating a patina unique to each pair and its owner.

Design Notes

We rarely begin with a blank sheet of paper.

More often, we begin with an object that has already earned its place. The process is one of observation rather than reinvention—understanding why something has endured before deciding what, if anything, should change.

For this collaboration, we started with two of Quoddy's most recognizable boots: the Chukka and the Grizzly. Rather than choosing one over the other, we explored what existed between them.

Every change was made with restraint. A leather midsole was added to create a more planted feel underfoot. Reinforced X-plug stitching strengthens one of the highest-stress areas of the boot while improving durability and resistance to the elements. The proportions were refined until the silhouette felt balanced from every angle.

The intention was never to reinvent a Quoddy boot. It was to build one that felt as though it had always belonged in Quoddy's lineage—shaped by our perspective, but unmistakably Quoddy in its construction.

Production, Availability & Delivery

The Quoddy × Union Overall Boot is offered as a limited made-to-order collaboration.

Each pair is handcrafted in Lewiston, Maine and delivered in a series of scheduled production releases.

Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. Deliveries are scheduled for September 30, October 15, October 30, November 15, and November 30, 2026.

Because production is limited, placing your order earlier increases the likelihood of receiving your boots in an earlier delivery. Pre-orders may close before the 30-day window if production capacity is reached.

Fit

The Quoddy × Union Overall Boot fits true to size. We recommend ordering your normal shoe size.

Each pair of the Quoddy × Union Overall Boot is handcrafted to order in Lewiston, Maine.

Because every pair is made specifically for you, there are NO returns, NO exchanges and NO refunds. All sales are final.

All boots are guaranteed for quality including workmanship and materials.

Like all Quoddy footwear, the Quoddy × Union Overall Boot is fully refurbishable and must be purchased through Quoddy directly. Built to be repaired rather than replaced, it is designed for years of wear and can be restored to extend its service life well beyond the original purchase.
